It’s a Great Time To Buy at Lake James

September 19, 2008 - Leave a Response

Even with the economy in turmoil, it is still a great time to buy at Lake James.  Buyers have the opportunity to take advantage of great prices as many homes and home sites have been on the market for a while.  All one needs is some cash or ability to obtain a loan and a buyer agent…me :)

With the stock market in crisis, it is a good idea to invest in land.  There are fine communities at Lake James that I would recommend.  Pisgah Preserve at Lake James is a gated community with a focus on preservation and home sites start at $69,900.  If you’re looking for incredible views of Shortoff Mtn., the Black Mtn. range, Lake James, Dobson’s Knob and the South Mtns., Pisgah Preserve is for you.  Another great community is 1780.  The development features the Over Mountain Victory Trail which is 3.5 miles and lake access lots start at $200,000.  Old Wildlife Club is the sister community of 1780 and features awesome views of the Pisgah National Forest.  Home sites range from 1-8 acres and begin at $200,000 for lake access lots.  Owners of home sites in both 1780 & Old Wildlife Club are founding members of Camp Lake James, a lake adventure center featuring a social hall, fitness center, pools and more.

Now more than ever, It’s a great time to buy at Lake James…

Is the Market as Bad as Everyone Says?

April 2, 2008 - Leave a Response

Absolutely not.  The information the national media is reporting has made everyone panic.  Real estate is local and locally, we are not in as bad of shape as the media makes it out to be.  In fact, four of our cities in North Carolina were in the top twenty national markets.  Now is a great time to buy.  Interest rates are historically low and there is an excess of inventory.  Don’t listen to the media and “put off” buying real estate; Buy today!

Spring is here and business is picking up.  Real estate is moving, despite what the national media reports, and it is one of the best investments you can make.

Pisgah Preserve at Lake James is a 480 acre gated development planned with preservation in mind.  Home sites range from one to five acres and are competitively priced.  Over 8,000 feet of this community borders the Pisgah National Forest.  There are 115 acres of common area which include a community picnic area, and will feature a Reading cabin, outdoor fireplace, playground, rest rooms, and other outdoor activities.  Views from this development are picturesque and include Shortoff Mountain, Dobson’s Knob, the South Mountains, the Black Mountain Range, and Lake James.

The developers of this gorgeous community offer turn-key cabin designs and general contracting services and are great to work with.  If you enjoy the luxury of lake living and  desire the peacefulness of a mountain retreat, this development is for you.   Lake James is across the road and the marina, offering boat storage,  is only three miles away.

There is an open house every Friday and Saturday from 1-5pm at an impressive cabin on lot 7, “the Ridgeline.” Come discover Pisgah Preserve at Lake James
